I am delighted that you are interested in learning more about the Programme Executive role at Driver Youth Trust.
The Driver Youth Trust is a national charity dedicated to improving the life chances of children and young people, with a focus on those with literacy difficulties and who may have SEND, particularly children with dyslexia.
We believe that by building school capacity and improving the knowledge, skills and understanding of teachers is the best way to make sure that every child, regardless of their background, gets a great education. However, there are real systemic issues in the system that can make this difficult, such as the lack of teacher training.
That’s why we are doing things differently – re-thinking the role of teaching consultants providing guidance and support to schools in a way that uses the best practice, with a sound understanding of research and evidence. We believe every child needs a great teacher and that every teacher deserves the highest quality training.
We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team. The Programme Executive will work closely with the Operations Manager to support the team with administrative and project work; set up and maintain procedures and processes; and support us to deliver programmes that become a national benchmark of excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of the workings of a not-for-profit organisation, the education and policy landscape of England and of the disciplines of project management, events management, marketing and communications. We offer great development opportunities to everyone on our team.
In order to excel in this role, you will need to have experience providing administrative support in a busy environment. You will also need strong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines. The role will require a strong understanding of operational and organisational priorities.
To apply for the role please email the following no later than 5pm on Friday 3rd November 2017 to firstname.lastname@example.org, including the job title in the subject line:
