Here at DYT, we’re rarely all in the same place at the same time. Our Education team are kept busy visiting schools and running workshops to help teachers and educators better support learners with SEND, while our CEO and Directors regularly speak at conferences and events, sharing knowledge and fighting for improvements in education policy.

School visits

March is going to be another busy month for our Education team, who are travelling all over the country to visit our Drive for Literacy schools.

Bridge Academy (Milton Keynes)

We’ll revisit ‘quality first teaching’ with all staff, and work closely with learning mentors.

City Academy (Islington)

Our Consultants Kenny and Ruth will be completing an audit to enroll the school into our DfL programme.

Sir William Ramsay (Bucks)

We’ll be carrying out a literacy review in the science dept. and developing resources for scaffolding.

St Leonard’s Academy (Hastings)

We’ll be reviewing the school’s teaching and learning policy, focusing on ‘quality first teaching’.

Central Academy (Chichester)

We’ll be running a session for TAs on self-scaffolding, and a workshop on the Graduated Approach.

Paignton Academy (Devon)

Exploring knowledge organisers and developing an intervention programme with the SENDCo.

St Mattias Academy (Bristol)


We’ll work with the learning facilitators to finalise the school’s intervention approach.

Landsdown Park Academy (Bath)

We’ll review how our literacy strategies are working in the school, and delve into teaching practices.
